Keeping up with Kane Miller authors and illustrators ... or trying to!

We're delighted that our authors and illustrators are so enthusiastic and eager to meet their fans and make new friends!

Here is Patrick Young, author of Old Abe, Eagle Hero at the York County (PA) Literacy Council last weekend, along with Rennie and his keeper, Franklin Klock of the Carbon County Environmental Educational Center. Pat says it's the first time he's seen a Bald Eagle "face to beak." We think he's pretty impressive! (OK, you too, Pat.)

Everyone has been so busy we can't even keep up!  In addition to innumerable school and library visits, these go-getters are hitting the Festival trail too.  Michelle Nelson-Schmidt  was recently at the AJC Decatur Book Festival and Dianne Moritz at the East Hampton Children's Book Festival. Later this month, Eric Ode will be at the Northwest Bookfest, while Kent Culotta will be at the Orange County Children's Book Festival along with Bret Conover.  Patrick Young is headed to the Baltimore Book Festival and Jill Corcoran heads north to the Inland Northwest SCBWI Conference. Whew! (Apologies to anyone we've left out. Like we said, it's nigh on impossible to keep up!)

So thanks to everyone and especially to the many UBAM Consultants who so often are the real movers and shakers making a lot of these opportunities happen!
